REPORTS FROM HOUSE SITTING

The sitting which was scheduled to start at 4:00pm, Sunday, 11/12/2016, started at about some minutes past 5:00pm due to some hitches.
After the house was called to order, the Deputy Clerk of the House read the minute of the last sitting before the Acting Speaker, Rt. Hon. Tete Lilian brought up the notice of alleged misconduct served the President by the House and the Vote of No Confidence on him by the executives. These were read by the Deputy Clerk after which a motion to investigate the matter was passed and ready by the Acting Speaker.
It was at the point of calling for votes to either investigate the matter or not that Hon. Phillip started a rowdy session which took time to get quelled. This gave room for some cultists who had been hanging around to come in and add to the noise while beating up some House members. It is believed that these cultists and political thugs were invited by the President because he personally drove them back to their destination with the Union's bus after they had fulfilled their missions of both disruption of House sitting and beating up of some Union officials.
The situation was brought under control after a while. However each time the vote was counted, there was a deliberate disruption of the sitting by some non-House members. Even some past leaders of the Union and some NANS officials aided the cult boys, dragging out some of the executives and members of the House to be beaten up. To this effect, men of the security department advised that the sitting should not continue until another day, leading House members and other Union officials out of the venue of the sitting. Some of those who were beaten sustained various degrees of injury while others were threatened.

Since the matter could not be concluded today. It is believed that the House will reconvene at a later date to continue from where it stopped.
