FOLLOW-UP ON COURSE REGISTRATION

Last two weeks I told us all of the response from the Secretary to the Registrar which states that they are working on the issues tabled before them as regards online course registration. On Friday I made another visit to the Registrar's office and the secretary who I met there said, "It is a global issue; we cannot deal with them all at the same time, thus, we are working on all the issues before us, when we are done, ALL students will be able to register their courses". What this implies is that students may continue trying their course registration from time to time. Some may be successful while others may not, depending on when the issues are resolved.

Next I asked him about the N500.00 penalty for late registration if students will still be made to pay it or not. To this he said, "What N500.00? Whatever you have on that for now is void. When we are done with rectifying the issues, we will send forth new instructions." This implies that while the issue is being resolved, the N500.00 payment is on hold until it is resolved; and when it is resolved, if the penalty is still placed on the registration of courses, we know we have another case to tackle.
