REQUIREMENTS FOR VOTING IN THE FORTHCOMING SUG ELECTIONS

This information is exclusively for elections into legislative and executive positions. Elections for the Legislative houses and the Executive Council of the Students Union Government (SUG) will take place as scheduled on April 11 and 13 2016 respectively. According to Prof. P. A. Akah, Dean, Student Affairs Department who is also the Chairman, University of Nigeria Electoral Commission (UNECO), all eligible voters should present the following documents for accreditation and voting;

 

1. Student ID card (Any UNN based ID card, that is University ID Card, Faculty ID Card or Departmental ID Card)

 

2. School fee receipt for 2015/2016 session (or online fee printout authenticated and stamped by the Faculty Officer)

 

3. Online course registration form for 2015/2016 session.

Note also that elections are to be held in the different faculties.

As for that of Hall Government elections, your school fees, hostel fees and hall levy receipts are required for accreditation and voting at the different hostels.

On this note, I wish to plead with all Lions and Lionesses still enjoying the First Semester break to return to campus as soon as possible. A number of us are depending on you to help us actualize our dreams of continually serving you better and if you stay at home chanting, "I gaba go!" "You're there already!" while others are here in school casting their votes, great will be the fall of your candidate and we may end up having the wrong people in the next government.
