UPDATE ON ACCEPTANCE FEE PAYMENT: RRR CODE DOES NOT EXIST and other Error Responses!!!

First I wish to heartily appreciate as many as have called, commented or sent messages through facebook or whatsapp as concerns their experience with the newly activated acceptance fee payment. Your responses and feedback helps us know where there are loopholes and thus communicate back to the right quarters for improvement.

Now to the business of the moment. If at this time any bank is still telling you that the acceptance fee payment has not started, please do well to ignore the bank and check another. If banks in faraway lands like Lagos have started receiving acceptance fee payments on behalf of UNN, then I do not know why any bank should claim that the payment has not started.
That said, for those who have successfully paid their acceptance fee and got their receipt from the bank which contains their RRR Code, it is important you read this carefully. The RRR Code you receive from the bank is meant to give you access to the portal where you fill in your acceptance form and then print your admission slip. However, you also need to understand that the same code is
meant to be sent to the ICT Unit of the university BY THE BANK for update so that when you come back to key it into the portal, it will be accepted and you may continue with your registration. But due to the slow pace of things as regards these whole processes, you may receive such error messages as "The RRR Code you have entered does not exist...". If you do, please do not panic. It is possible the bank has not communicated the ICT Unit of the university to update their database. Thus, you may try logging in with the code later.
This should not stop you from coming to school as you can also try it at cybercafes on campus, and if "symptoms persist" (you know what I mean), it will be sorted out by the ICT Unit of the university.
For those who have not been able to print their JAMB Admission Slip due to one error message or the other, you need not panic as far as you are sure your name is on UNN's Admission List. Such things will be sorted out with time. Thus, I will advise you go ahead with other matters concerning your clearance.
For those who have been sending messages on whatsapp, I want to sincerely apologize for my delayed response. Most times, I receive messages 12 hours after the are sent. At times, messages sent at 8:00am come in at 7:00pm or later. This is why I have not been active and prompt in my responses to your messages on whatsapp. I do not know why this is happening but as soon as there is an improvement, you will know by how promptly I respond to your messages.
Finally, if you are coming to school for your clearance, please ensure you make arrangements, if not for any other thing, for where you will lay your head. True, we said the university will provide temporary accommodation for you but this is no obligation. It is what the university has done over the years and if she decides not to do so this year, it's her choice. Also, even if the accommodation is ready, you don't expect that someone should be waiting to usher you into your room as soon as you get into school. These things involve processes and, considering the number of students coming for clearance, you may expect that the accommodation may not get to everyone as quickly as they want. What if you are the unlucky one? Please remember, "Wisdom is the principal thing. In all your getting, get understanding.
