UNEC Law Student, Chima Valentine Dies on Holiday

This is another dark moment in the University community, especially in the faculty of law,as we have authoritatively confirmed the death of our fellow student, Chima Valentine.

The soon to be final year law student died reportedly having been ill through out the just conclude exams. The Class Representative, Omeye Emenike confirmed that Valentine, who had been ill but managed to finish his exams, died after it became serious while he was at home.

The death of amiable Valentine from Imo State, has indeed brought another sadness to the faculty. You will recall that only last month, the faculty of law lost one of its lecturers Dr. Opata whom news source reportedly said is thought have tired of living.

Very sad indeed. So far,all we can confirm is that Valentine Chima, before he has passed away, attended Holy Ghost College owerri as well as Government Technical College both in Imo State.
He also lived in Owerri.

Writing on his "about" on facebook Val has this to say to those who dont know him: "Looking from afar, you may probably not get it right. But while not draw near and know better." Unfortunately however, there will never be a chance again.

His family is our primary concern. They must have been happy to see their son gone into the final lap of his study before this sudden event. We hereby offer our heart felt sympathy to them and pray to God for fortitude to bear this great loss.

His best quote comes from Andrew Marvel- "But at my back I always hear Time's winged chariot hurring near; And yonder all before us lie
Deserts of vast eternity." Very queer indeed.

May his gentle soul rest perfectly in the Lord. Amen.
