Possible consequence of ASUU strike on Students, lecturers, FG and the Nation at large. By MUOGHALU SAMMIE.

psychologists have identified incessant breaks in academic sessions of public universities as a major factor contributing to the decline of education quality in the country. They pointed out that each time an academic session was abruptly interrupted, the students lost concentration, resulting in poor academic performance. Imagine an athlete in a 400m race who is about half-way and is stopped abruptly. It simply means that it will take him time to regain his speed when he resumes the race. To the heart of the matter which is a matter of the heart, it's no longer a subject of debate that the strength of an oppressor lies in the ignorance of the oppressed. It is devastating that the FG and ASUU has gone on so many negotiations but all proved Deadlock, believe it or not the strategy the FG and ASUU adopts in settling these issue is not only impotently archaic but has. Made the touted genuineness of their agitations questionable. Strike. Has made students to languish in apprehension and anxieties in their various boredom. Each time there is a jamboree between the FG and ASUU, it is believed that it is the only helpless Nigerian students that suffers for it. Take it or leave these time it is not only the students that are involved, all sectors of our economy are also at stake of the strike so it shouldn't be a thing of do or die affair. Remember that the devil also finds works for ideal hands, I.e these students may be getting involved in other things which may not be good for the economy. Those who are just idling about at home could cause security problems that's the reason in these issue I disagree with the saying that when two elephants fights the Grass is always the victim, Yes it is but both elephants will pay for the damage in future. According to Akinyere , the strike will not only affect the students and the lecturers but also the country's economy, in the long run. The academic calendar of the students has already been disrupted which will lead to a spiral effect on the nations education and economic sector. These factor will also cause an increase in the number of fresh graduates in the labour market at the end of the academic year which will be felt in the labour market and not only in the quality of graduates being chuned out by the country's public universities but also by the labour. Market and the employers of labour since the country has greedy and rabidly impatient employment system as Dr Ayobami Ojebode puts it. When you employ a graduate and you expect him to speak the language of your organisation, write your menos in your house style or operate your fabrication machine as that is the only one known in the ide world. Then what do u think will happen? When such graduate couldn't do that then the idea of public universities not competent enough to produce graduate , forgetting to. Know that all those strike and the rush after strikes are over is the major cause of not producing quality graduates for the nation which will lead to loss of contract home and abroad. My advise. To students is not to waste away these period at home doing nothing go out there and showcase your God given talent. Always remember that many Analyst have argued that considering the issues involved, the fruits of this strike would not taste sweet for any of the parties involved so the earlier the strike is called off the better for students, lecturers FG and the nation as a whole.
