BEFORE YOU COME FOR CLEARANCE II (SHOPPING):
In my last post on this series, I discussed DOCUMENTATION, outlining
certain documents you need to have handy before coming to the
university for your clearance. In case you missed the post, please
check it up here:
http://unnmaxinfo.blogspot.nl/2015/09/before-you-come-for-clearance-i.html?m=1
I had to skip the topic I intended to discuss next for this due to the
confusion a number of prospects are having as regards the first list
and the shopping option. Please as your read, I advise you also share
with as many as you can. You may be saving someone from a big error.
Now on SHOPPING!!!
This may be no definite answers to your questions on shopping but sure
it will serve as a guide. Please note that your post UTME score is not
the only thing to consider before you shop. You need to consider
- Your post UTME Score (must be above 200)
- Your JAMB subject combination must be correct for that course
- Your post-UTME combination must be correct for that course
- You must possess UNN's Minimum/Departmental Entry Requirements for
the course you want to shop into
If you have a good post-UTME standing for a particular course but with
the wrong combination, you may still not get admitted to study that
course. Thus,it is important you consult your JAMB Brochure to find
out what course you should shop into.
Also, for those who got above the departmental cut-off but were not
given admission with the primary list, I think you should also
consider this as it MAY be the reason for such.
Remember, you have between two Mondays (21st and 28th to make up your
mind and shop for the supplementary list.)
In case you have not seen it, here is the list of available courses
for shopping. The numbers next to the departments are the available
spaces (that is, the number of students needed for that department, to
add to those already taken).
Choose carefully.
