New Brethren's Day, More Than Music (MTN) And Joint Sentforth.

Between 26th and 29 of June was full of varieties, activities, programs or what ever u wish to call it among fellowships across unec. On the the 26th it was SCM new brethren day, an annual program which is used to usher their first years into full membership took place in FBA Auditorium. The evening was filled with exciting activities as the graduands shared their testimonies and gave special numbers. And also went further to present a drama which made the evening even more lively. It was a wonderful moment in God's presence.
Then came the long awaited Friday for both music and drama lovers in unec and beyond who love to be entertained under God.
At about 6pm the same day, it was the kick off of Castor's annual joint sent forth. A three days program organised mainly for the final years for both nsuka and unec, it was unec's turn to host the program for this year. The Friday was the arrival of the nsuka brethren at FBA Auditorium.
Simultaneously, Nifecians were also welcoming their guests from across the zone for this year's Discipleship Training Seminar at FBA Hall 1.
After the arrival ceremonies music and drama lovers filled down to White house to join RCF for ever interesting MTM. And it did lived up to expectation as the night was full of dramas and music from different fellowship drama groups and choir like ASF, Casor, Shekina, Jesus house, SPD, RCF esuth, Shiloh theatre, the host and many others. The peak of the night as expected was when the host presented a drama about a Christian student who his witch mother vowed to
make life miserable for him and to use him for sacrifice on his 25th birthday. But despite the challenges he faced, he held unto God and overcame. It was a fun filled night with wonders of worship.
Back with Casorites and Nifesians, the weekend was still on as they continued with their respective programs simultaneously. In hall 1, Nifes continued with their seminar which witnessed teachings on "Christian Giving" by Uncle Freeborn Atagamen, "Excelling in Your Academics" by Bro. Kene Onwuzurumba, "Managing Your Sexuality" by Bro. Bolu Baba-Onoja and other ministers.
While Casorites first had a football match competition between the unec and nsuka brothers. Then later went to mpb139 for their morning section which the final year students had the opportunity to get some trainings on how to live after the school environment, in which one that really caught the interest of students was the teaching on "Engagement and Marriage" by Mrs. Ezeocha. She defined marriage as a school in which once admitted can never graduate. She went further to say that no one has mastered everything about marriage. As children of God, that engagement should be based on God's word and as such should marry an unbeliever. Taking her text from 2Cor. 6 and Mark 11:24, she gave six steps to engagement and marriage, which are: 1. Marriage is not for children but for mature minds, 2. You must have the desire to marry, 3. You should develop love for the person you want to marry. 4. Is, if you see someone you like, your initial approach should be mature. 5. You must let your people know you are in a relationship, 6.Dating before your marriage should neither be too short nor too long, six month is fair enough. She went on to say that marriage is an adjustment program that you as continue in it, you try to make suit you and your partner, because every human being has fault, tolerance is needful and that marriage is a responsibility, thereby you must not rush into it.
Then it was time for questions and Ajah O. Ajah, a final year law student asked one of the many questions which I felt is very important, he asked if it is advisable for lovers to go into marriage when their are not match medically, just because they love each other and that God will do miracle? But the speaker told him that, that notwithstanding, it will be very foolish for one to go into marriage against medical advice. That ended the morning section.
Then in the evening was the dinner night which took place at royal palace hotel. Which was also fun filled evening for Casorites and guests.
Then on Sunday was the final day of the programs for both Casor and Nifes. It really was a glorious weekend in unec.
