ATTENTION ALL FINAL YEAR STUDENTS

This is a follow up of a post made previously on the exorbitant amount received by some final year students who tried generating their school fees invoices.
Further investigation into the matter revealed that the university has a plan to add an extra N31,500.00 for DIGITAL CERTIFICATION and CONVOCATION. This is the reason for the hike in the school fees for final year students.
However, on the part of the Students Union Government, it is clear we make it known to Nigerian Students that we are totally unaware of this plan neither were we consulted before it took effect. Thus, we plead with all concerned to exercise patience and not be in a hurry to make this payment. We will be meeting with the university administration soon on the matter and will relay the outcome to you.
On a normale, convocation fee is N10,000.00 with a N2,000.00 refund if you return your gown without issue. Thus, even if final years are to pay for convocation alongside their school fees, what justifies the remaining amount on the N31,500.00.

We wish to emphasize on the appeal by the Students' Union Government, led by Comr. Chukwu Emmanuel, to all finalists not to make any payments yet until we have corrected the issue and reported back to you accordingly.
