With hope that your documents are ready or in the process of being
ready, and that you shopped right for the supplementary, I want to
welcome you to today's topic in the series: ACCEPTANCE FEE PAYMENT.

This is a fee you pay to validate the admission which the university
has offered you. Ordinarily, it would have been no use writing on this
as the meaning is obvious but I have considered this necessary owing
to the fact that for the past few weeks I have been receiving calls
from aspirants calling to find out why they have not been able to pay
their acceptance fees. Some were scared they had lost the admission
when they entered their JAMB registration number and got the response
that the number is not on the university's database.
There are some basic things you need to know about the acceptance fee,
especially as it concerns this year's admission. First is the fact
that no one has been able to pay acceptance fee thus far due to the
fact that the data of aspirants offered provision admission were only
uploaded to the university's portal just yesterday, October 7th, 2015.
Thus, if you go check the portal again, you should be able to log in
with your JAMB registration number and update your profile among other
things. Also, you should be able to print your UNIQUE INVOICE NUMBER
for payment of acceptance fee through e-Tranzact.... But hold on a
second. You should not print that or pay through e-Tranzact for now.
Considering the same federal government policy which forced the
university to resort to Bank Drafts as a means of payment, it is
advisable that you wait for the new instructions on how to pay your
acceptance and other fees to avoid stories that touch the heart.
One thing is sure, the payment of acceptance fee will continue till
the end of registration. I am not saying this to encourage those who
will want to wait till the last minute before doing the right thing,
but to douse your fears of losing your admission if you do not pay
your acceptance fee before resumption. So please relax until you are
given an alternative means of payment, and if the use of invoice
number and e-Tranzact is reactivated, we will surely keep you
informed.
While you wait, take your time to log in to the university portal
(www.unnportal.unn.edu.ng) and update your profile.
