HESSA ELECTIONS CANCELLED

HESSA elections that were billed today were cancelled after some students from nursing department and rehab stormed the polling unit in the FHST building and unturned the ballot boxes.  the nursing students were aggrieved because they claimed the elections fixed today didn't suit them at all because of the public holiday saying that most their students who are direct entry wouldn't be available to vote. the nursing students came claiming they had pulled out of HESSA, hence they weren't meant to have any ballot box allocated to their department.  the medical rehabilitation president also put his hand into the ballot box and snatched ballot papers saying that his department was also not interested in the elections.  all hell broke loose, with ballot papers being littered over the floor and outside the windows. The security on ground couldn't contain the fracas, and the election had to be cancelled as students started leaving.
