The SUG president stated

"We are intimidated Nigerian students but i want to assure you that we are also reasonable. It appears that the problem is not from them. Lions! Please I will assure of one thing: that you an I are on the same page.

Eventually what we are planning to achieve, we will. No good thing comes easy. We are going to meet the tanker people today or tomorrow. We are engaging in series of deliberations with the school authorities. There's a plan to put water in the reservoir. The school is having challenges.

After meeting with tanker people. There is no going back. If they don't want to sell, the, let them not sell. Let them take their tanks. We will bring in new people. If I fail in this water issue, my administration has failed. I will do everything possible even if it means losing my admission.

Selling water at the rate of 30naira is at their own detriment. Maybe after today, they will not be selling here. You are still gong to hear from me either this evening or tomorrow morning."

AFTER A DAY OF DELIBERATIONS WITH THE WATER VENDORS, HE INFORMED US THAT:

"They have agreed to sell at the SUG stipulated price for one week, that is, until after our deliberations with the tanker people."

  1. This issue of water should be adequately harnessed. I see no reason that wil make the water vendor to exploit students unnecessarily and upon that, the girl selling the water will have the temerity to insult students. Ekene finally,am not doubting what you can do. If the dialogue or the meeting you are going to have with the tanker drivers proves abortive, there are more than one thousand and one water vendors that are out there looking for an opportunity to come into the campus to sell at a good price. Again, you should talk to the girl selling the water. She is just mannerless and saucy. She should learn how to address people afterall customers are always right. Longlive UNN,longlive UNEC,Longlive SUG officials and Longlive Ijites. This is the voice of the one and only DonBAzoo. I rest my case

  3. I tink I passed my Gsp101 very well. SOON I believe doesn't denote specificity. Something urgent should be done to curb this menace. We are really suffering here. For somedays now, many students have gone to school without taken their bath al because of the issue of water. We should put all these things into cognizance...We are like brothers here. Whatever that happens to one, happens to all. Still DONBAZOO reporting
